It’s been a while since I last posted on this blog, but I simply haven’t had time to sit down and write anything. I’ve been trying to make yoga and mindfulness a priority, just to stress down my daily life a bit. I’ve always been a bit of a busy bee, and never used to take time to just relax. That’s probably why I started having problems with both neck- and back pain a few years ago! Sitting in front of a computer for 8+ hours every day, pretty much never excercising and stressing around all day isn’t exactly the best thing you can do for your body..
So getting into yoga a few years ago really made a world of difference for my well-being, it really did. Now I have the ability to just take a few moments and let go of any stress that’s building up, and I really enjoy having those moments of relaxation. Now – I have even decided to take it one step further!
I was talking to a friend of mine about traveling abroad when I got the best idea – why not book a trip to a yoga retreat? Said and done – in november I’ll be going to a yoga resort in Thailand! I will be there for 10 days, living in a bungalow by the beach. Each day there will be yoga classes, pranayama (which is a type of breathwork for relaxation), meditation and even Thai massages and steam baths! Of course I am super excited about going, but also a bit nervous. It will be the first time that i’ll travel alone, and it’s a pretty long flight to Thailand. But I’m sure it will be great, and that I will learn a bunch of new things while being there!
I am however a bit scared of flying, and I find it really hard to meditate on a shaky plane. For some reason I’m always sure the plane will crash as soon as there is any turbulence… But I read that the plane will have wi-fi, so hopefully that will be my rescue! Lately, I’ve gotten really into playing online casino – and I find that to be an excellent way to distract myself when I’m feeling nervous. I found an online site called casinonodeposit.co.uk that reviews different casino sites online, and that really helped me find my favourite! So hopefully, spinning some reels online will get me through the long flight to Thailand!
